    Possible New DC Candidates

Usually when a new coach comes in, he brings in guys he has past history with. I collected some names (like them or not) of defensive coaches who may be ready to be a DC or have been a DC that have ties to Dennis Allen. Here they are (in no particular order):

    Bill Johnson, N.O. Def Asst.
    Emmitt Thomas, K.C Def Asst.
    Gary Gibbs, K.C. Def Asst.
    Joe Vitt, N.O. Def Asst.
    Billy Davis S.F. Def Asst.
    Ed Donatell S.F. Def Asst.

It is not likely he will be able to get another DC to jump, so the list contains only assistant defensive coaches. Like them or not, this is a list of coaches in his past that have experience as a DC or have the potential to be a DC from what I have researched.

I will look into offense next.

Looks like it mat be down to Donatell, and Johnson from what I have heard/read. I would prefer Donatell, but looks like Johnson may have a slight edge. I will have to trust that whatever D.A. decides will be best for our team.
RIP Mr. Al Davis. An Icon and Legend that will be greatly missed!

Both are good choices. I think the New Orleans connection might be in play with this one. If so I would be very comfortable with that hire. Knowing your coaches and how they work is very important.

Yeah but reading other Raider sites there is so much pessimism its down right irritating. I know we are not all the happiest people with what has transpired but i mean at least we still have faith. I have seen others calling Mckenzie dumb and stupid because of how he answered questions at the presser. I mean he just does not seem to be the most comfortable in front of cameras which is ok but he does seem smart and i will trust in what he decides because he does come with high praises and the fact that we really have no other choice.

I agree sometimes our fan base disgusts me with the negativity! They don't give somebody a chance, and think they know more then the people that have been doing it for a long time. Reggie is very smart, and allot of people do not understand that he may not be the best at putting on pressers, but he was valedictorian at his HS and is very intelligent. Ron Wolf and John Madden thought highly enough of the guy to recommend him, and that is enough for me. We are headed in the right direction IMO, and I can't wait to see this team run with discipline! That is another thing I have heard many fans say is the discipline won't change, they say everybody says that they are going to do that. If you think about it, it was never possible with Al running the show, because he would let players come to him directly, and coaches were scared to put their foot down. With Al gone, I believe Reggie will let Allen put his foot down, and we need that in a big big way! With the right direction, and discipline the sky is the limit with this team!
