Christmas Lights! I love Christmas lights. They remind me of the people who voted for Obama. They all hang together; half of them don't work, and the ones that do, aren't that bright!

This hire if it were to occur, would not bother me a bit, however I'm surprised that Todd Bowles was not offered or considered as DC. Definitely a head scratcher here. If an unknown position to coordinator coach was being considered as opposed to an experienced coordinator, why not Bowles?

Could only indicate how close Bowles was to getting the HC position had DA not come aboard?

Whitt has only worked with Capers, and it'd be nice to see a position coach who's ready to transition to coordinator who's worked under at least two or more prominent coordinators. That's my main concern and he's still young for a coach. On the flip side, he 2nd generation of football coach, played and coached on offense, and learned nuances on both sides. Could actually be a good thing.

Seems to me that DA wants to create some sort of "hybrid" scheme on both sides of the ball. Keeping Wiz 1.0 for OL coach along with that Pollack tells me they're going to utilize both styles of OL blocking.

Knapp did bring an "up-tempo" offense with the Niners, but that's pretty much it. Hard to make a judgment on Knapp during his 1st time here in Oakland. Yeah yeah yeah, I know he was stripped of play-calling duties by Cable guy, but if you think about it, that poor offensive production may have been more tied to Ja Walrus than Knapp, and Cable being who we know of him now, knew it was easier to throw Knapp under the bus than to throw Purple Drank. I do recall how a lot of the posters and some of the sportswriters praised the hiring of Cable/Knapp when Kiff went to Mobile. Knapp was succeeded by Tollner/Cable and we know how that went. (Highest points was 27 against Pittsburg...that same game where the fans were chanting "Bruce Bruce Bruce!")

It'll be interesting to see what sort of systems da DA will put into place. I'm not going to rush judgment yet. Season home opener will be telling of my prediction for the actual season.

I'm not too impressed with special teams coordinator though. We needed a ST guy who knows how to create a blanket coverage or good field position. Haven't really had that since the Casullo days, and the coverage was average at best.

To be honest I have paid little attention to most of the names, and only look them when they are mentioned. I have wanted real change for years. I have faith in Ron Wolf and he says McKenzie is the guy. I clicked on the Allen presser and to tell the truth I was surprised how poorly McKenzie handled the few questions that came his direction. He lacks public speaking skills to say the least. He is less than articulate to be nice. I keep going back to Wolf and I hope he is right about this man who comes off as...well...dense. I like what I have read about Allen and think we hired a up and comer. This is much needed change in this organization I have faith based on Wolf that the right people are involved.

Knapp is a good coordinator. I can't argue against this hire at all. I was hoping that we would keep Saunders because he is a good Coordinator and the Ego Maniac Jackson kept him around as a figure head never making adjustments. Saunders really never got a decent shake but Knapp is good!
